Selecting an Orthodontist
Not all dentists who offer orthodontic services are orthodontists. Members of the American Association of Orthodontists (A.A.O.) are orthodontic specialists. They have met the exacting standards of education and experiences set by the American Dental Association and required of the A.A.O. for membership.Dr. Turner is a member of the A.A.O. with a dental degree from Emory University and an orthodontic degree from the University of Pennsylvania. To Put Your Mind At Rest
Sterilization procedures approved by the American Dental Association are utilized. All tissue contact instruments are autoclaved or dry heat sterilized. Disposable supplies are used whenever possible. What Is "T.M.J."?
These initials refer to the joint in front of the ears where the lower jaw attaches to the skull. Various types of problems may be associated with these joints. If T.M.J. concerns or facial pain is a problem, then an appointment for a T.M.J. evaluation should be scheduled with Dr. Turner.
