 Common Problems

Our goal is to provide each patient with the most appropriate treatment at the most appropriate time. The following provides the basic description of the major divisions of treatment. For more detailed information and to view examples of Dr. Turners treatment results in each category follow the links to each section.

Early Treatment
Early treatment is indicated when there is a problem which may significantly affect development or risk damage to the permanent teeth or supporting tissues. This phase of diagnosis and treatment occurs at approximately age seven (7).

Phase 1 Treatment
This phase is most common with the more severe problems. Treatment utilizes early growth to improve the development of the erupting permanent dentition and the lower face. This phase of diagnosis and treatment occurs normally at age 8-10.

Full Treatment
This type of treatment strives for ideal functional and esthetic relationships (normally age 11 to 12+).

Adult Treatment
There may be some limitations but we strive for ideal functional and esthetic relationships for patients of all ages. Treatment by other specialist is often indicated, (such as periodontal therapy or restorative treatment). Combined orthodontic/orthognathic surgery ma be indicated with severe skeletal disharmonies. Invisalign Therapy is another option but it does have limitations.
