Donald J. Turner, D.D.S

Dr. Turner is a native of Indiana but spent the majority of his youth in Dunedin, Florida. He attended Emory University as an undergraduate and graduated from Emory's Dental School in Atlanta, Georgia. After serving two years in the United States Air Force, Dr. Turner decided to pursue his goal of becoming an orthodontic specialist. He was selected to complete two years of additional training in the prestigious orthodontic residency program at the University of Pennsylvania. In the summer of 1976, Dr. Turner opened his orthodontic practice in Clearwater.

Dr. Turner is an active member of the Upper Pinellas County Dental Association and served as president in 1995-1996. He is also a member of the West Coast Dental Association and the American Dental Association. In addition, Dr. Turner is active in the American Association of Orthodontists (the professional organization of orthodontic specialists throughout the United States).

Active and interested in his community, Dr. Turner is a classroom partner with a number of schools in the area, a supporter of a variety of sports teams, a sponsor of grad night to the area high schools, and a Sunday school teacher at the First Christian Church of Clearwater. He enjoys snow skiing, golf and tennis. Dr. Turner has been married for 33 years, and he and his family are happy to have made the Clearwater area their home. The family includes a son who graduated from the University of Florida and a married daughter who graduated from Florida State University
